Creative Sewing Circle
This open session invites everyone who would like to bring their sewing project or simply come for inspiration to delve into their creativity in a calm and relaxing group atmosphere. Whether you need more space or a sewing machine to finish your work, or you enjoy sharing and learning from other like-minded people, this session is a wonderful way to step out of your fast-paced day, take time for yourself and focus on the sensation of making something with your own hands.
There’s a natural joy and sense of empowerment in creating and connecting with others. This dedicated space and time allow you to tune in and submerge in your sewing enthusiasm, and mindful approach to slow down.
Simply come as you are with what you like to bring and together, we can dip into the art of slow making.
Plenty of space, sewing machines, as well as basic sewing equipment are provided along with some materials that you can choose from my cache of fabrics, but I recommend bringing any specific tools and materials that you may need for your project to avoid your work being put on hold. All you need to repair your clothes! Practical sewing kits for darning and Japanese Sashiko stitching to simply add to your home sewing utensils, or take on travels. Each kit comes in a cotton string bag with a small booklet for sketching, writing and journaling. Your chosen repair kit will be ready for you on the day of the Sewing Circle session.
